In Shohei Aiba's Another Story route, the protagonist makes a movie date with Koichi only for him to cancel on her at the last minute when she's already at the theater. When Aiba hears about this, he hurries to join her, claiming he finished his work sooner than he'd expected, and the two of them spend a pleasant evening seeing a movie and having dinner. It's only when they part that the protagonist realizes Aiba's going back to the office to finish all of the work he'd put on hold so that she wouldn't spend the evening alone and feeling down about being stood up. Later in Aiba's Another Story, the protagonist finally gets the chance to return the favor: she has a dinner date with Koichi, but because of a critical mistake on his part Aiba is stuck at the office pulling an all-nighter to try to correct the error. Faced with the choice between supporting her colleague or trying to build her relationship with her husband, the protagonist calls Koichi and tells him that something has come up for work, and goes back to the office to help Aiba. When Aiba tries to protest, she counters by asking if that means he's fine with her not accepting his help any more, and pointing out that their working partnership is a two-way street. At the end of Ebihara's route, the protagonist is in hospital after being hit by a car, and her unconscious mind has no defense against the despair that's been piling up over the past several months. The protagonist's dreams are haunted by images of Koichi, her parents and her in-laws, all making her decisions for her with no consideration for her feelings. Just when she's questioning whether anyone ever sees her at all, a new voice assures her that he does:Protagonist: (Thank goodness... You can hear me, right?) ???: Yeah, I hear you. Protagonist: (I'm glad... I was afraid I was alone.) ???: Don't worry. I'm with you. I'm on your side. Always. Later, we find out that Ebihara has been sneaking into the protagonist's hospital room at night to bring her flowers. The above conversation probably really did happen. Koichi, husband of MC for 3 months, is a ambitious and proud of himself type of person. He seems to be a very cool and dishonest person in the prologue, but I am really looking forward to his story with 17 chapters. I personally hated Koichi. He's very rude and cold-hearted towards you to the point where it borderlines emotional spouse abuse. To top that all off, he's also engaged in a love affair with your boss' wife! He mentions that he was in the affair long before your marriage to him, but he didn't break it off even though he was going to marry you! Yes, he changes a whole 360 degrees when the affair gets exposed and he gets demoted, but in my eyes, I still can't forgive him for doing that. Truth be told, I was cackling at the retribution he got for all the emotional crap your character was put through. Arranged marriage by both parents, they ended up into marriage after meeting for 3 times (the first time was when they were two years old). MC was attracted by his kindness. Though, Koichi’s affair with that woman (Ai) was actually started one year ago before the arranged marriage. Ai was actually the wife of the general manager in Koichi’s company. Koichi was not in love with her, it was just that they were compatible with each other. It turned out that Koichi did not understand love and marriage due to his parents, as his mother accepted the fact that his father was keeping an affair with another woman as long as he would bring money back home. Although Koichi indicated his choice to choose MC to be his wife was due to the benefit as MC’s father is the executive of a bank, he also said that he thought he could be in love with the girl he was unwilling to let go of at the age of two (his father told him about it). MC asked for a divorce after getting drunk as Ai looked for MC at her workplace and told her how Koichi loved her more than MC in private; though, Koichi did not agree to the divorce as he did not want to do it. MC had decided to attend one last gathering with Koichi as his wife and then she would file the divorce and leave the house. However, it turned out Koichi expressed his thought that he knew nothing about love and that he loved neither that Ai nor MC. Though, he promised to quit seeing Ai if MC insisted. As Ai also attended the gathering, she overheard everything and made a scene of it. Their affair got uncovered by the people at Koichi’s company, including the general manager. Koichi then got transferred to a subsidiary company from the main company. He got depressed while MC was busy at her work. Once, Koichi invited both parents for a dinner gathering announcing their divorce without acknowledging MC ahead. MC strongly opposed it. MC indicated that he could get her to agree to the divorce only if he got a hold on himself first so that she would not be worried about him. A few months passed, Koichi was getting used to his new position and started having over-time too. MC also got an award on a project that Koichi had provided idea. At the celebration party, everyone (including Ebihara, Aiba, and Genji) attended the party to congratulate MC for the award. Koichi felt jealous with all the men around MC. Once they got home, Koichi started kissing MC. As both of them agreed to go on, Koichi’s phone rang and it was the news about his father going into a hospital due to a heart attack. It was because of this incident that MC got to know about the affair of Koichi’s father with another woman. As Koichi’s father went into the hospital due to a heart attack, Koichi’s mother tried to convince Koichi and MC to quit their jobs so that Koichi could take over his father’s company as the CEO and MC would be assisting him. Koichi refused it and also asked if MC would stay with him if he got disown by his parents. Koichi’s father actually did not mind Koichi to choose his own way, and so MC wanted to convince his mother to accept his choice. Although she got refused by his mother, MC got to know his mother was a good school teacher before marrying to his father (in other words, his mother gave up her dream job just for her marriage). In private, Koichi’s father suggested the best way to make his mother to accept it is by having grandchild sooner. On the way to home from hospital, Koichi expressed his wish to be with MC for the night. The other night after having over-time at work, MC shared a taxi with Aiba as he was living nearby. They met Koichi who was also off work from his over-time. Koichi show his jealousy and started his forcefully kiss in elevator. The next day Koichi took MC to one of his father’s property that was far from the city. Koichi wanted to share the starry night scene with MC as he had forgotten about it before meeting MC. MC was then the first one he shared this starry night with. Back to the logging, Koichi proposed to MC again, they made the vows for the second time, exchanged rings, and had their “first night” as a newlywed there. MC and Koichi were both having a lot of overtime and they seldom have dinner together. Though, Koichi invited MC to go to Korea with him as a private trip with the couples they has known when he was at his previous position. MC was very happy to go to a trip with him. The trip went happily until they met Ai’s husband (Koichi’s previous boss). Koichi decided to leave Korea earlier than as planned as Ai’s husband asked him to leave and Ai’s husband would take care of that couples. However, MC asked him to visit Korea on their own as they don’t really have time alone together. They have a wonderful time visiting around. MC also once again expresses that she would not leave Koichi no matter what. The photo of Koichi naked was so completely unnecessary to this story. When your hubby has visibly and admittedly cheated on you before there is no need to give some kind of proof especially if the proof of fabricated. It turns out at the end of the story to have a regular shoujo excuse. The girl claiming to have an affair with him only needed some obscure detail about him to make the MC rightfully insecure and the picture just made Koichi seem lacking to have fallen into a dumb trap the way he did. Later on,you discovered that he's having an affair(I don't want to tell you why or I make too much spoilers ;) Even though you know he has an affair you can't just give up,you have to believe in him and even though it would hurt your feelings you have to be strong and stay by his side because later on he will also fall in love with you but thinks that you are not satisfied with him because of a certain reason. Koichi saw this and he was then stained with this belief until you came along. Although he may seem to be heartless, however underneath all of this, he is kind, caring, sweet, has a hard time being honest and expressing himself but is surprisingly, childish at times. He complains about how "black" foods tastes vile and would not eat. Even if it is an eggplant, he refuses to eat it claiming that "it's still black" and he has great love and passion for dinosaurs. When he sees something related to dinosaurs he becomes a big kid and is very happy about, this passion of his has induced great knowledge of the extincted creatures. His caring side is when he was willing to divorce you, even though it is clear he is in love with you, because he did not want to hurt you in anymore than he already had. He is also quite stubborn, refusing to back down on the divorce for your sake. He hates to lose and pouts if he does something unsuccessfully and he is also easily gets jealous. For example, when your co-workers threw a party for your first successful assignment, Kippei, Shohei and your ex-boyfriend, Genji congratulated you. Koichi was very irritated seeing all the men around you. Especially, when Genji gave you flowers and hinted that he was still in love you, Koichi and Genji stared at each other intensely. Once he falls in love with you, it's hard not to catch him blushing - which he does, a lot. Summary of Routes Main Story Just when you reach your breaking point following a meeting with his mistress and want a divorce, he begins to change for the better, but when something is revealed that gives him a wake up call, you both finally are on the path to a loving relationship like newlyweds should be. Epilogue You and Koichi were both having a busy work load, but managed to go to Korea as a private trip with the couples they has known when he was at his previous position as a way to spend time together which pleases trip went happily until you met Ai’s husband. Koichi decides to leave Korea earlier than planned as Ai’s husband asked him to. However, you asks him to stay in Korea on their own as you both haven't spent time alone together lately. You once again express that you won't leave Koichi again. Sequel One year after the main story, you’re growing strong with Koichi. But since being demoted he works very hard to try and make up for his failure by working hard in his department. However, his co-workers aren't having it for the simple fact he cheated on you. You soon get a job to renovate Koichi's office while he's being shunned for cheating. He requests you don't tell anyone you're his wife for simple fact of his shunning. While working, you receive a picture of Koichi naked with some girl, you wonder is he up to his same tricks? Wedding Vows Things have going well for you both as things have calmed down and your both are in your bliss. However, things change when Koichi gets a promotion to go overseas and work. Just to make things more complicated, you find out you both are expecting. You end up renewing your vows and moving to the UK to be with Koichi with a promise to come home when the baby is born.
